Winfield Hires New Finance Director

The Village of Winfield is pleased to announce the selection of its new Finance Director with the hiring of Susan Mika to lead the Finance Department. Mrs. Mika brings a strong municipal finance background, most recently serving as the Assistant Finance Director for the Village of Bolingbrook since 2012. Her selection follows a competitive recruitment process conducted this winter to fill the position following the departure of longtime Finance Director Lynn McCammon, who accepted a position in Holland, Michigan last fall.      
 
Mrs. Mika, a graduate of North Central College, began her professional career as a financial analyst for DuPage County, over time holding increasingly significant financial roles with the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County and the City of Yorkville. Village Manager Curt Barrett was very pleased with the addition, noting “The experience, skillset, and initiative she brings will be a good fit for our team in Winfield.” Mrs. Mika will begin her duties March 15.
