Join Winfield in welcoming the Andy Warhol: A Life in Pop Exhibit to College of DuPage this summer, as towns throughout DuPage County recognize one of the most influential artists of the past century with an added local flair! Join your friends from the Chamber, Library, and Village on Thursday June 1st at 6:30pm to unveil the artistic impression of four notable Winfield residents in Warhol’s signature style. Learn more about famous locals Bill Brach, Eleanor Himmelfarb, John Karwoski, and Kevin Streelman as their Warhol makeovers paint the town!

| | Library EventsComing this Summer - Warhol in Winfield The Library is partnering with the Village for “Warhol in Winfield,” offering programs in conjunction with the upcoming “Warhol: a Life in Pop” exhibit at the College of DuPage’s Cleve Carney Museum of Art. In addition to the programs listed below, we'll have coloring sheets for kids based on Warhol’s iconic images, our Summer Reading Kickoff features an Andy Warhol Pop Art Scavenger Hunt, and most exciting, the Adult Summer Reading Grand Prize is a $100 gift certificate to the McAninch Arts Center that can be used for the Warhol exhibit. Andy Warhol Art (Grades 2-6) Tuesday, July 18, 10:00-11:30 a.m. Create your own Andy Warhol-inspired portrait of yourself or someone you know. Registration begins June 1. Andy Warhol - The American Dream Wednesday, July 26, 7:00 p.m. Julia Walker of the Cleve Carney Museum of Art will share the background of Warhol and his journey to superstardom. Walker will also give you a sneak peek into the blockbuster Warhol exhibition! Registration begins June 1. |
